SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Through the creation of a mobile app, we are teaching new investors, especially those from underrepresented groups, the foundational principles of investing. Our goal is to empower investors to harness the power of shared resources and to make investing a team sport. We are looking for an exceptional Social Media Intern to push these ideas forward.

 

JOB SUMMARY

​

The Social Media Intern serves as the point person and initiator for all digital communications needs. The  social media intern will work closely with the organization’s senior leadership team to develop, manage, and drive the growth of our digital presence to include website, email communications, e-newsletters, etc. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Work collaboratively to develop messaging and increase visibility through digital and traditional marketing and communications

• Develop multimedia content and maintain the digital presence, including generating visual content for campaigns, online features and social media posts

• Track, interpret, and provide regular reports on web and social analytics and provide metrics 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

 

• Experience in graphic design, digital marketing, or communications 

• Aid in brainstorming, designing, filming and editing video and all other social media content

• Experience in live streaming software

• Strong and active social media platform

• Track record of developing innovative strategies that reach target audiences 

• Experience writing for the web, social networking for an organization’s platform and developing and articulating a clear brand voice

 

COMPENSATION + COMMITMENT:

​

• This role pays $10 per hour/ 20 hours a month. Applicant must be able to start: January 24, 2022 and work through April 22, 2022.

• Applicants must be enrolled in a University or Academic Institutions in the United States.

• Unofficial transcript required.

 

SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:

 

• Web publishing skills (WordPress) and experience with website analytics tools

• Knowledge of desktop/graphic publishing, database and relevant software packages: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)

• Writing and editing skills
